Linoleum Roses (pgs. 101-102)


Summary:
She marries an older salesman takes her to another statek, where it is legal to marry girls in 8th grade, before the end of the year. Esperanza believes Sally married to leave her house. Sally says she’s happy because she gets money, but her husband becomes violent and angry. Her husband doesn’t let her go out, talk on the phone, see her friends, or look out the window. Sally spends her days sitting at home and looking at the things around her.

Sallys husband doesnt let her leave or talk on the phone because he wants her to himself and he doesnt want her to leave. I think he is abusive to her. he doesnt want her to have a life. Her life is only suppose to revolve around him.

Sally's husband does not let her talk on the phone or leave the house. He doesn't let her because he knows she is beautiful and is afraid she will leave him for another man.

Jessica Powers-Sallys husband dosnt let her talk on the phone because he is overprotective and couldnt satnd the thought of her with another man.
sallys husband want sally just to him and dosnt want any man to come inbetween the two.
